Dressfolk, is a classic tale being re-written in the contemporary era. They are built on a foundation that idolizes a journey back to the very roots - of Indian heritage, traditional crafts and value for human lives.
Dressfolk builds the most ethically collaborative relationships with artisans, and weavers to understand the complexities and contexts of their craft regions and crafts.
Linen is one of the most eco friendly and sustainable yarns that becomes softer with each wash. Unlike cotton, which tends to retain moisture for a significant period of time, linen dries quickly, which helps reduce heat retention in overly warm conditions.
Made from flax plants, the process of making the linen fabric is a laborious and time consuming one. The process includes separating the fibre from the flax stalks, breaking, combing, spinning, reeling and drying. Only after this, is the yarn ready to be dyed, treated and woven into sarees.
Gently hand wash in cold water, and air dry the saree in shade. Iron in medium heat only.
Every piece is designed and crafted by hand. Any unevenness in texture or embroidery is not a defect, but a characteristic of the handwoven product and a part of the process, that makes it unique. We do not mass produce our clothes- each piece is specially tailored for you.
We will dispatch your box of happiness within 5- 15 days of your order being placed.
