Handwoven, soft and subtle Bengal cotton drape in pastel lilac with a faded silver and onion pink border.
Known as 'tant', the Bengal cotton saree is woven with the finest and most ancient weaving technique originating in the 15th century. The hallmark of a Tant saree is the use of locally grown cotton, whose handspun yarn adds to the feather-like texture.
The simplest of tant sarees take about 10-12 hours to weave and the more intricate ones can take up to 4-5 days. The designs are drawn by an artist and transcribed onto soft cardboards by perforating them which are then suspended from the loom.
Stands for "mine" in Malayalam, in its most loving form, Endé’s festive collection shows the connect between the wearer and her prized piece of nine yards of grace.
