Handwoven, soft linen drape from Bengal in dusty pink - adorned with delicate handembroidered tulips, tasseled ends and a gold zari border to accentuate the elegance of the wearer.
In Jamdani, motifs are inlaid into the fabric by adding a denser thread to fine warp threads by hand. This process is considered to be one of the most advanced hand weaving techniques in the world.
Our weavers from the Bengal cluster have been in the tradition of weaving for several generations.
This process is so time intensive that on a usual day, an artisan can weave only upto between a quarter and one inch of fabric. The creation of Jamdani weaves requires 2-3 weavers and anywhere between 1 week and 1 month to finish.
Stands for "mine" in Malayalam, in its most loving form, Endé’s festive collection shows the connect between the wearer and her prized piece of nine yards of grace.
